United Nations is a Power Violence/Grindcore band that includes Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw, House of Blow, Sports, Head Automatica, xbustedx, etc.) and Geoff Rickley of Thursday. Other artists involved in the project include Christopher "Chree" Conger, former drummer of The Number 12 Looks Like You, the bassist "Cooper" of Made Out of Babies, and Jonah Bayer of The Lovekill. However, these names are not certain anymore, as everyone's identity in the band is no anonymous. Members could have changed, however, the listener would not know. Also, before the record there were supposedly five members, however, in their recent promos there was only four people wearing Ronald Reagan masks, not five.
In 2008, the band recorded and released their first full length album, United Nations. It was a long process due to Palumbo's busy schedule. It was mastered by Tim Gilles. The record was released on Eyeball Records, who released Thursday's 1999 album, Waiting. When one purchases their self-titled debut, you also can get United Nations Plays Pretty For A Bunch Of Fucking Babies.
On terms of upcoming albums, the band is going to release their 7 EP, Never Mind the Bombings, Here's Your Six Figures on Deathwish Inc.
