About

This is the official database of the Long Island Hardcore/Independent scene...well, it's really quite unofficial, but since I doubt there are other databases about this subject, I'll call dibs on it. This is a place for bands to check out other bands and artists, venues, albums, show updates, (and usually to make inappropriate jokes for me to edit out of pages). There's been a music scene on Long Island forever, my mom used to go to a bar called "My Father's Place" in Roslyn and would see people like Bruce Springstein and Mississippi Muddy Waters. Since then, Long Island has practically become synonymous with its music scene. Local jewish and italian kids from places like Levittown and Farmingdale and Amityville are selling out stadiums and arenas overseas. Anyway, check out the artists, check out the albums, and check out all the bands trying to make it from Long Island. And if any of this seems corny to you, remember at least it's not Williamsburg.
